Hatikvah

Description

LJKelley’s inspirational take of Hatikvah, the Israeli National Anthem.  The title which translate to Hope, is a poem from the 19th century that speaks to the 2000 year old yearning to return to Israel.

The melody is based on a 16th century Italian song.  The song was chosen as the anthem of the First Zionist Congress in 1897 and became the proclaimed national anthem upon the founding of the State of Israel in 1948.
