Hei fra Oslo
Hello from Oslo. I know its been a while but I wanted to share another post and photos. I planned this trip to be able to see family after the pandemic caused all trips to be placed on hold. Even earlier this year I was able to attend World Pride in Copenhagen, but strict controls prevented from jumping north to Norway.
I’m finally here and look forward to a week of family and exploring. Sure there was a lot of work. On Friday I took a PCR COVID test to give myself peace of mind. I had already registered my vaccination with the Norwegian authorities and gotten a EU COVID Certificate. Then due to the new variant I also had to register my trip with the authorities. This was all checked before I was able get a boarding pass in Rochester, NY. Then at Oslo Gardermoen, the KLM plane was met with the Police who checked everyones documents.
I think sometimes my normal response is to complain. Yes, I’ll even blame god when kids get cancer for creating or allowing such a cruel world. Today though, I’m grateful. Sure things are challenging, but sometimes we forget so easily. It could be be a hundred years ago and I’d have to take a boat with a chance of many other disease to travel from the US to Norway. I’m grateful for the opportunity to visit family and to see this beautiful scenery again. Sure its has been challenging, our complacent lives have been disrupted. Let’s stop and enjoy the scenery and be grateful. Please enjoy these photos:
